ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 29, 2016) A landing craft air cushion (LCAC) departs the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge, part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, is currently deployed as part of a regular rotation of forces to support maritime security operations, provide crisis response capability, and increase theater security cooperation and forward naval presence in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
