Mrs. Huntersurvives her honored husband and now re-sides at Versailles, Kentucky. Abner C. Hunter, Jr., the immediate sub-ject of this review, was reared to maturityon the old homestead farm, of wdiich men-tion has been made, and he was afforded theadvantages of the excellent schools of Wood-ford county. He continued to be identifiedwith the work and management of the homefarm until 1885. when he assumed a clericalposition in the bank of J. Amsden & Com-pany, of Versailles, and he continued to beemployed in this institution until 1889. whenhe later secured the position of assistantcashier of .the First National Bank of ^lerid-ian.
