All of the stable crops of the North and those of the Southwhich do not require tropical conditions can be produced success-fully and profitably within the State. Abundant supplies of coal, iron ore, building stones, timber,cotton and other raw materials make the opportunities for indus-trial development in Virginia equal to those for agriculturaldevelopment. It is natural that with these favorable conditions the recordof Virginia should be one of progress and of the more efficientutilization of natural advantages.
