A complete penny of Edward I
Description
English: A complete silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307) dating to the period 1300-1302. North Number 1038/1.

The obverse depicts a forward facing bust wearing a bifoliate crown. There is a single pellet on the forehead below the band of the crown. The legend reads EDWARD R ANGL DNS HYB and the initial mark is a cross pattee.

The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The legend reads CIVI/TAS/LON/DON.
