A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy button
Description
English: A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy button (c.1550-1750). The button consists of one large eight-lobed floral shape with a smaller eight-lobed floral shaped boss in the centre. The button has decorative pellets within each lobe of the outer shape, and eight decorative pellets around a central pellet on the boss. On the reverse the button has an integral attachment loop which is square, with a small drilled hole. The button is 14.6mm in diameter and 2.2mm thick.
