A complete Medieval cast copper alloy knife terminal
Description
English: A complete late Medieval cast copper alloy knife terminal. The terminal is cylindrical with an oval section. Both sides of the terminal has rectangular engraved decoration with a large X through each. The end of the terminal has an engraved 8 point star, with one point no longer visible. The engraved decoration has been filled with a different alloy, possibly a lead alloy. The opposite terminal is covered in copper alloy and iron corrosion products, The terminal is in fair condition. It is thought to date from 1400-1600. A very similar knife terminal may be found on the database SUR-47FE12 and GLO-63E637.

The terminal is 12.39 mm long, 9.9 mm in diameter, and weighs 6.84 g.
