Description |
English: A complete, cast copper-alloy double loop buckle, dating to the Medieval to Post-Medieval period (c.AD 1350-1650).
Description: The frame is sub-oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. It is comprised of two, undecorated D-shaped loops with acutely bevelled inside edges and rounded outer edges. The frame has a narrowed strap bar and a is flat on the reverse. The pin is missing. Comparable to Whitehead (1996), p.53, nos.294. Measurements: Length: 28.78mm; Width: 23.23mm; Thickness: 2.54mm; Weight: 3.1g |
