English: (Left to Right) U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Joshua Johnson pledges the Marine Corps officer oath, repeated by newly commissioned 2nd Lt. Colin R. Caskey, a Scottsdale, Ariz. native, during Caskey’s commissioning ceremony at Old Main at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., Sept. 15, 2014. Caskey, a 2009 graduate from Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, graduated from ASU in May with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Caskey earned his commission through the Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) program with an aviation option and upon completion of The Basic School (TBS), which he begins Oct. 14, he will go to flight school in Pensacola, Fla. “I wanted a challenge that I felt only the Marine Corps could provide,” said Caskey. “It’s an honor to become a small part of the tradition within the Marine Corps.” Young men and women attending any accredited four-year college or university are eligible for PLC.
