Description

A very memorable day for me. We sighted this Falcon killing a pigeon in mid-air after which it landed in the middle of a dry lake bed. As the Falcon started consuming the Pigeon, a large number of cattle entered the lake bed for grazing. After a while, they reached the part where the Falcon was consuming it's meal. And the cattle - Cows in this case - didn't like the killing so they chased away the Falcon aggressively. The bird didn't like that a bit and resisted briefly, but almost immediately it flew away with the partly eaten prey, landed half a kilometer away and finished its meal there.

I was still new to bird photography then, so missed a majority of the flying and ground shots with poor focus that lacked sharpness. But I did love every moment of the scene!
