Title
A Medievalsheet metal buckle plate
Description
English: A copper alloy folded sheet metal buckle plate. The front plate is rectangular and flares slightly away from the attachment end. It is decorated with crosshatching and framing border formed of double lines of stamps triangles leaving a line between them. The backplate is smaller and shorter than the front plate and is undecorated. The two plates are joined at the end furthest from the attachment point by two circular copper alloy rivets. At the attachment end is a trapezoidal notch between two tapering tabs formed at the fold of the plate. These would have hooked over the missing buckle.
