Die Steiermärkische Landesregierung hat gemäß § 4, Abs. 1 der Steiermärkischen Gemeindeordnung 1967, LGBl. Nr. 115, zuletzt in der Fassung der Kundmachung LGBl. Nr. 49/2004 mit Beschluß vom 2. Juli 2007 der im politischen Bezirk Voitsberg gelegenen Marktgemeinde Mooskirchen mit Wirkung vom 1. August 2007 das Recht zur Führung des bildlich dargestellten Gemeindewappens verliehen.
