Description
English: MARINE BARRACKS – COMMONLY CALLED THE EXILES CLUB; CONSTRUCTED IN 1830 AS A SINGLE STORY MARINE BARRACKS. IN 1848, A SECOND STORY WAS ADDED BRINGING THE CAPACITY OF THE BARRACKS TO 150. THE BUILDING REMAINED IN USE UNTIL 1903, WHEN A REPLACEMENT BARRACKS WERE BUILT in ASCENSION ISLAND
