[edit]DescriptionANCIEN PRIEURE ET CHATEAU DE VILLEMOUTIERS (Loiret).jpg |
English: The present parish church is made up of part of the former prior church. It is composed of two naves separated by two pillars and forming three bays covered with false vaults. The original structure is preserved above the main nave, preceded by a square bell tower dating from the end of the 15th century. The north aisle was built after 1878. In continuation to the east, backed by the chevet, was preserved the choir (12th-13th century) of the old priory and whose roof collapsed in 1995. This set adjoins the castle said Priory, built in the last century on the remains of the priory Sainte-Marie-Madeleine. (source: Mérimée)
