On y voit la main et le pied d'un tailleur de pierre Compagnon du devoir, Sébastien, en train de ailler grossièrement une pierre en vue d'obtenir une forme adéquate à un appareillage pour construire un mur en pierre sèche. La pierre sèche est une technique de construction en pierre millénaire, assez présent dans la région Limousine, n'utilisant aucun mortier ni aucun liant, en s'appuyant uniquement sur un appareillage de pierre "sèche". Le pied du compagnon sert à maintenir la pierre au sol tandis qu'il tient dans sa main un "ciseau à pierre" utilie pour dégrossir rapidement une pierre. |
