Description
English: Ben Tranh District, South Vietnam. June 1970. Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Sam Booth of Toowoomba, Qld (left), and WO2 Doug (Dinger) Bell of Labrador, Qld (right), are instructing the Regional Force soldiers in the Delta region in the wiring of Claymore mines. Both are advisers of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV), who are in a Night Operations Advisory Team (NOAT). The NOAT is a pilot scheme designed to retrain the local Regional Force soldiers for night operations against the Viet Cong.
