Summary
[edit]DescriptionA87 approaching Portree - geograph.org.uk - 1112858.jpg |
English: A87 approaching Portree Looking down Glen Varragill from one of the newly constructed laybys.
Several miles of the A87 south of Portree have been rebuilt in the last two years. The works caused significant traffic delays at times. The smoother road surface encourages higher speeds, while some tricky curves and narrow bridges remain to catch out the unwary. Here, in January, the road is deserted, though in summer it can become quite busy. |
