Summary
[edit]DescriptionA-4B Skyhawk of VA-93 Det.Q in flight, 1964.jpg | A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4B Skyhawk (BuNo 142132) from Attack Squadron 93 (VA-93) "Blue Blazers" Det.Q in flight. VA-93 Det.Q was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 59 (CVSG-59) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington (CVS-20) for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 20 February to 11 August 1964. Note that the detachment kept the tail code "NG" of its parent Attack Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) and did not adopt the "NT" tail code of CVSG-59. Also not the unusual use of Roman modex numbers. |
