[edit]DescriptionA-1H VA-152 with opened dive brakes 1966.jpg | A U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 135235) from Attack Squadron 152 (VA-152) "Friendlies" in flight over the Gulf of Tonkin in the summer of 1966. The pilot has opened the dive brakes to lower his speed to take a photo of the Sikorsky SH-3A Sea King helicopter of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 6 (HS-6) "Indians" from which the photo was taken. VA-152 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 16 (CVW-16) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) for a deployment to Vietnam from 26 May to 16 November 1966. |
