Name: Commemorating the Battle of Nirim
Description: The Battle of Nirim took place on the morning of May 15, 1948, between the forces of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force that invaded the sovereign territory of the State of Israel fourteen hours after the announcement of its establishment and the members of Kibbutz Nirim, which according to the partition decision was destined to be within the territory of the Jewish state.

תיאור: קרב נירים התחולל בבוקר ה־15 במאי 1948, בין כוחות חיל המשלוח המצרי שפלש לשטחה הריבוני של מדינת ישראל ארבע עשרה שעות לאחר ההכרזה על הקמתה לבין חברי קיבוץ נירים, שעל פי החלטת החלוקה נועד להיות בתחום המדינה היהודית.
הערות: האנדרטה תוכננה על ידי האדריכל יחיאל ערד בשיתוף האמן אריה סרטני שהתמחה בתבליטי בטון. אבן פינה לאנדרטה הונחה ביוני 1983 והיא נחנכה בשנת 1985. היא בנויה בצורת בית הביטחון עם מרפסת בולטת על הגג. על הקיר יש כתובת גדולה, שהייתה לסמל לעמידת היישובים בכלל ונירים בפרט - לא הטנק ינצח כי אם האדם, כתובת שנשארה על קיר צריף האוכל ההרוס.
