הערות: מִקְוֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל הוא בית הספר החקלאי הראשון בארץ ישראל. בית הספר הוקם על ידי קרל נטר ב 1870, דרומית לדרך יפו-ירושלים. ב 1867, ביקר קרל נטר בארץ והבין שניתן לשפר את מצבם הכלכלי של המתיישבים על ידי הכשרתם לעבודה חקלאית. הוא עורר את ציבור מתפללי בית הכנסת החורבה, בירושלים להתחיל בחיים חדשים וגם שיכנע את חברת כל ישראל חברים בפריז להקים את בית הספר. הממשלה העותמאנית נתנה לנטר רישיון לייסוד בית ספר חקלאי, והעניקה לו שטח בחכירה ל-99 שנה. מִקְוֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל הוא כינוי לאלוהי ישראל, מקור התקווה של העם.
