Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_88100_20220602_121533.jpg Notes: המושב נוסד ב 1949, בסמוך לקו הגבול הירדני, שעבר באותה עת בלטרון (כ 5 ק"מ בכיוון דרום-מזרח), על ידי גרעין של השומר הצעיר שהתארגן כבר ב-1948 בצ'כוסלובקיה, תחילה יישב הגרעין בבתי הכפר הערבי הנטוש אל קובאב. ב-1952 עברו המתיישבים לבתים שנבנו עבורם בסמוך. כל מתיישב קיבל חלקה של 6 דונם, בה בית, רפת, לול וגן ירק. את התוצרת החקלאית שיווקו באמצעות תנובה. בשנים הראשונות תושבי אל קובאב, שברחו ושכנו במחנה פליטים סמוך ללטרון היו מסתננים לאזור בעיקר במטרה לגנוב תוצרת חקלאית.
