Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_88089_20220602_111345.jpg Notes: כפר שמואל הוא מושב עובדים של "תנועת העובד הציוני" שנוסד ב-24 בינואר 1950 על ידי עולים מרומניה. ממוקם בשפלה, סמוך לעיר רמלה. נמצא בתחום המועצה האזורית גזר.אחד מיובליו של נחל איילון עובר במושב.נקרא על שם הרב סטיבן שמואל וייז. בית העם במושב קרוי על שם מוריס לוי, שתרם להקמתו. כפר שמואל הוקם על ידי גרעין מייסד של העובד הציוני, שמנה כ-70 חברים, ובהם 22 משפחות עם 11 פעוטות, מארגון "החושל" של יוצאי הונגריה ורומניה ששהו במחנות בקפריסין, עלו לישראל לאחר הקמת המדינה וקבלו הכשרה בשבי ציון. המושב הוקם ב1950.
