Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_81880_DSC_0349.jpg Notes: מתוך סדרת נופי צומח צמחי חוף הים של עוזי פז.חבלבל החוף גדל בעיקר בחגורת הרסס, היינו ברצועה הקרובה ביותר לחוף הים.זו רצועה שכל הצומח בה חשוף לרוחות עזות הנושאות בכנפיהן רסיסים של מי-מלח, ורק מי שהסתגל ופיתח עמידות לנזק שגורמים מי המלח לרקמות הצמחים שורד בה. אך מי שמצא דרכים לשרוד בה נהנה מתחרות מעטה של צמחים אחרים. אפשר למצוא פרטים שלו גם בקרקעות חוליות בגבעות מרוחקות מעט יותר מן הים, במיוחד בכורכר פריך.
