Title
811 Late Iron Age torc, side view 2.JPG
Description
English: Fragment of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper-alloy beaded torc, dating AD 1-150. It is 46mm long, has a diameter of 12mm and weighs 29.49g. There are three discs, 11mm in diameter and each separated by a section 9mm long that has a narrowed waist, 7.5mm diameter. One terminal is large and cylindrical, 10mm long and with a diameter of 12mm. The other terminal is short and stepped, 1.5mm long and with a diameter of 7.5mm, and may have fitted into an aperture on the terminal of the missing section of the torc. The overall condition is poor, corrosion has destroyed much of the surface leaving a pitted light green layer.
