English: Brig. Gen. Wanda Williams, (left) commander of the 7th Mission Support Command, and Command Sgt. Maj. Craig Hyson, (right) 7th MSC Command Sgt. Maj. pose with Sgt. Ana Verduzco, (center) March 12, upon awarding her the Army Achievement Medal for her outstanding achievements as the Army Combat Fitness Test Training non-commissioned officer in charge and the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives NCOIC. during a presentation ceremony on the parade field at Daenner Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Verduzco volunteered for both positions, feeling a need to further contribute to the readiness of her command. "Stepping up as an NCOIC is a matter of confidence in your leadership abilities and in the knowledge of the material and its application," said Verduzo. "The support and encouragement of my mentors and team is what drives me to be successful."

Troop Program Unit Soldiers taking on additional duties and responsibilities is integral in meeting training and readiness requirements.
