Address/Title: 725 North Second Street Photographer: Zehmer, John G. (John Granderson), 1942- Original Description (from Book): One of the oldest houses to survive in Jackson Ward, this house was built in 1827-1828. In 1895 it was made part of the funeral parlor of Arthur Hayes, a black undertaker. The steep roof and small windows are original, but the stucco covering and diamond shaped panes appear to date from the turn-of-the-century. City/Location: Richmond (Va.)
