English: U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Thomas E. Ishee, right, the commander of Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO and U.S. Sixth Fleet, speaks with U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Charles E. Miller II, battalion commander of 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance battalion, with Task Force 61/2.4 (Mobile Reconnaissance Company) in Tallinn, Estonia on June 2, 2023 prior to exercise Baltic Operations (BALOPS 23). Task Force 61/2.4 (Mobile Reconnaissance Company) provides naval and joint force commanders with dedicated multi-domain reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance (RXR) capabilities. Exercise BALTOPS 23 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region that is led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO. It provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen the combined response capability critical to preserving the freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
