English: U.S. Army Col. John B. Gilliam, commander of 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team joins conducts pass and review with the outgoing commander U.S. Army Lt. Col. Derek Drouin and U.S. Army Lt. Col. Levi Thompson, the new commander of 6-9 Cavalry Regiment at a ceremony in Poland, Sept. 12, 2022. The change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
