Paper and ink; Color:green,black, blue. Material: paper. $5 bill issued by First National Bank of City of New York. Has Benjamin Harrison pictured on front and date "Feb. 25, 1903" is the date for the bank charter. The bill was probably issued in the 1920's. Marked: B118294 Series of 1902. 29.National Bank Notes were United States currency banknotes issued by National banks chartered by the United States Government. The notes were usually backed by United States bonds the bank deposited with the United States Treasury. Benjamin Harrison is on all $5 third charter period notes. |
