Title |
English: 4 Susan B. Anthony |
||||
Description |
English: Cartoon drawing of woman wearing glasses and a green dress reading from a sheet of paper. Susan B Anthony, like women’s voting rights, came well after the American Revolution and the Constitutional Convention were over. 100 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed, Susan B Anthony arrived at Independence Hall and read the Declaration of Rights of Women to a crowd gathered here on July 4, 1876. She was most certainly booed by some and cheered by others. It took courage to stand up for women’s rights. Conversation Topic: Have you ever said something that you knew wouldn’t be liked by everyone?
