Description 404 (right) and 406 (left) Clinton Avenue between Gates and Greene Avenues in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City were built in 1901 as the residences of C. Walter Nichols and Henry L. Batterman, respectively, and were designed by the Albert Ulrich in the Renaissance Revival style. The houses are located in the Clinton Hill Historic District.
