3rd C. AD silver-alloy ring - bezel
Description
English: Roman copper-silver alloy ring of 3rd century AD date. Keeled or carinated design with wide flat shoulders bearing simple straight lines incised as decoration. A raised circular boss in the metal at the bezel imitates a gemstone. Some slight damage and corrosion.
   Measures 18mm diameter. Ring is 3.5mm wide, by 1.7mm thick. Bezel is 10mm high, by 2.9mm thick. Weight = 4.52g.
