[edit]Description3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines Operation Spurs.jpg |
English: U.S. Marines from "America's Battalion," 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, "The 3-3," leap from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter hovering just above the snowy hills of Korangal, Afghanistan, during Operation Spurs, January 29, 2005. They flew in fast and low, jumped off just outside one of their main target's house, cordoned off the area right away, and began their searches for mid-level Taliban and terrorists. |
