Description
English: Three-dimensional PCA plot of Xavante. First three principal components (PC1, PC2, and PC3) are shown.

Yoruba, Maasai in Kinyawa, Kenia (MKK), African ancestry in Southwest, USA (ASW), and BantuKenya populations represent Africans; Utah residents with Northern and Western European ancestry from the CEPH collection (CEU), Adygei, and Basque populations represent Europeans; and Han Chinese in Beijing, China (CHB), Chinese in Metropolitan Denver, Colorado (CHD), Japanese in Tokyo, Japan (JPT), and Cambodian represent Asians.

Xavante Indians (purple points), as expected, are concentrated in the Amerindian axis near the other populations of known Amerindian ancestry (Karitiana, Pima, Surui, and Maya). The São Paulo sample (black dots) is predominantly located between the European and African axis, showing a high degree of genetic admixture. This finding confirms early results [8], and it corroborates the long history of intermarriage between Europeans and Africans descent in the Brazilian population
