Description
English: Looking at the 39th Avenue Ventilation Complex of the IND Queens Boulevard Line, west of the 36th Street IND station at Northern Boulevard and 39th Avenue / Honeywell Street at 32nd Street in Long Island City, Queens. The vent tower was built circa 2000 to serve the connection to the IND 63rd Street Line. It is located adjacent to the north side of the subway tunnel, not above the tunnel. It is also clad in granite, unlike other 63rd Street Line structures which feature 1980s brick.
