Description 330-PS-6610 (USN 709150): Mrs. J.N. Myers, wife of the Commander of Early Airborne Warning Squadron Two, christens the WV-2 “Super Constellation” at Patuxent Naval Air Station. Rear Admiral Grover Hall, Commander Naval Air Force, Atlantic Fleet, witnesses the ceremony. The new craft, loaded with radar, will be used to fly to points far at sea and patrol, long period of time, guarding fleet units from surprise attacks. The plane is also equipped to direct and control U.S. Navy carrier-based fighter interceptor planes in an attack. Photograph released March 24, 1954. (4/7/2015).
