English: One of a set of fourteen photos taken on Saturday 25 October 2008, in two parallel Tottenham streets - Winchelsea Road and Greyhound Road.
3.42 pm - outside numbers 87 - 93 Winchelsea Road N17 Click here to see all 14 photos; and to read my email to the Director of Haringey's Urban Environment Department. ════════════════════════════ The Association for the General Welfare of the Blind is now called Clarity - Employment for Blind People. Here's the link to their website. These four houses in Winchelsea Road were built in 1954 to celebrate the centenary of the Charity. There are several blind and partially sighted residents - some needing guide dogs to get around. Look through the set of 14 photos and consider how dumping along these streets might affect someone who is blind or partially-sighted. Bear in mind that it's not just dumped items partly blocking the pavement and causing potential trip hazards. There's also a risk for guide dogs who can be injured by bits of broken TVs, broken glass and similar stuff. |
