Built in 1795, the wooden, two-and-a-half-story, Federal-style home originally served as the private residence of Benjamin Patterson (1762–1834). The semi-detached property features a garage and guest house adjacent to the home. The Benjamin Patterson House is designated as a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District, a National Historic Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1967.
