Summary

[edit]
Description
English: On 27 January 2017 I reported several potholes in Wilson's Avenue, Tottenham N17. This is a short street linking Factory Lane and Dowsett Road.

My photos in January showed the view northwards to the junction with Dowsett Road. I explained to Haringey Council that Wilson's Avenue is often used by large heavy vehicles delivering etc to shops at the rear of High Road, Tottenham. I suggested that unless repaired these potholes would get worse.

On 2 February 2017, Haringey Council emailed, saying they'd inspected this location but considered these potholes: "did not meet the requirements of our policy for Reactive Maintenance intervention levels”.

Under the heading INTERVENTION LEVELS they wrote: “In general defects are repaired if they are regarded as hazardous or serious and in order that consistent standards are adopted throughout the Borough, clearly defined categories known as ‘Intervention Levels’ are set. These levels are detailed at and are based on the Local Authorities Association Highways Maintenance Code of Good Practice."

►Update 3 July 2017

I was walking home along Wilson’s Avenue on 3 July 2017 just before 10pm. It seemed these potholes are getting worse.

I and a friend who was with me, thought they were bad enough to bring a cyclist or motorcyclist off their bike. So I took more photos and re-reported them.
