2723 A copper alloy knife pommel
Description
English: A copper alloy Post-Medieval knife handle end cap length 13mm, width 17mm, thickness 7mm, weight 6.2g. It has an oval shape, with a slot for an iron tang at the base. The end cap is in the form of a double horse-hoof terminal, each 'hoof' being oval in section and curving away from the other.

The terminal is broadly similar a single horse hoof example in: “Material culture in London in an age of transition”, Egan, 2005, p. 92,
