Description
Nederlands: Duitse militairen bij het staartstuk van een Armstrong Whitworth Whitley V-bommenwerper die op 26 juli 1940 in Spijkenisse een geslaagde noodlanding maakte in een korenveld in de polder Nieuwe Uitslag van Putten, nabij de Papendijk. De bemanning overleefde de crashlanding, maar vier van de vijf bemanningsleden werden krijgsgevangen gemaakt. Het waren piloot/officier R.F. Beauclair, piloot/officier J.C.W. Bushell, sergeant E.A. Caloway, sergeant C. Wood en sergeant K.J. Read. De vijfde wist in het donker te ontsnappen.
