Frühe medizinhistorische Schrift von Justus Friedrich Karl Hecker (1795 -1850), die 1834 ins Französische, 1835 ins Englische und 1838 ins Italienische übersetzt wurde. Der Begriff "Volkskrankheit" wird hier erstmals verwendet.
