Marcos Jr. ang mga miyembro ng FIBA Central Board kasama ang delegado mula sa Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) ngayong araw, ika-28 ng Abril. Sa isang talumpati, inihayag ng Pangulo na ang isports ay isa sa larangang binibigyang-pansin ng administrasyong Marcos-Duterte, kaya't sa pagdaraos ng FBWC sa bansa ay maaasahan ng organisasyon ang buong suporta ng pamahalaan. Ginanap ang huling FBWC sa bansa noong 1978 sa panunungkulan ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.
English: In conjunction with the preparation for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup (FBWC) in August, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. wholeheartedly received members of the FIBA Central Board along with a delegation from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) today, April 28. In a speech, the President proclaimed that sports is one of the fields given attention by the Marcos-Duterte administration, so in the conduct of the FBWC in the country it shall be expected that the organization will be fully supported by the government. The last FBWC in the country was last held in 1978 during the administration of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. |
