Description
English: Helgeand House churchyard at the Museum of Medieval Stockholm under the Norrbro ("North Bridge") on Helgeandsholmen in October 2023. You can see a part of the city wall of Stockholm in the background. 1.339 untouched skeletons were found in their original positions by archaelogists. A total number of approximately 4.000 persons had their last resting place in this churchyard, in use for over 200 years.
