Eesti: Vesilest (Hydrachnidia) pildistatud mikroskoobi all kasutades 8x objektiivi. Isend on kogutud 2023. aasta juunis. Vesilestade värvus ja kehamustrid on liigiti erinevad - sellel isendil on näha iseloomulikud valged laigud pruunikal kehal. Pildil on hästi näha vesilestale omane kerajas keha külgvaates ning harjastega kaetud jäsemed. Läbi poolläbipaistva kesta kumab tume siseorganite piirkond.
Pilt on tehtud kasutades peegelduvat valgust, mis toob eriti hästi esile isendi välispinna struktuuri ja jäsemete peened detailid. Pilt on tehtud kasutades fookuse virnastamise tehnikat (focus stacking), mis tagab suure teravussügavuse.
English: A water mite (Hydrachnidia) photographed under a microscope using an 8x objective. The specimen was collected in June 2023. Water mites show considerable variation in color and body patterns between species - this specimen displays characteristic white patches on its brownish body. The image clearly shows the typical spherical body in lateral view and appendages covered with setae. A dark region of internal organs is visible through the semi-transparent carapace.
The image was captured using reflected light, which particularly emphasizes the surface structure and fine details of the appendages. The image was created using focus stacking technique, which ensures great depth of field throughout the subject. |
