Summary

[edit]
Description
English: New London Union Station is a historic rail station located at 35 Water Street in New London, Connecticut. Built in 1887 and designed by H. H. Richardson in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, and the last railroad station Richardson would design, Union Station serves Amtrak customers on the Northeast Corridor and is the eastern terminus for CTrail Shore Line East service. Local and intercity buses stop at the station, and ferry service to Long Island and Fisher's Island in New York as well as Block Island in Rhode Island is nearby.

The current building is the sixth, and is one of the oldest station still in use on the Northeast Corridor. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
