Deutsch: Dresden: Das Blockhaus - Als Blockhaus wird in Dresden die Neustädter Wache an der Westseite des Neustädter Brückenkopfes der Augustusbrücke bezeichnet. Das freistehende Gebäude befindet sich am Neustädter Markt, wenige Meter vom Goldenen Reiter entfernt. Den Namen Blockhaus erhielt es vermutlich aus zwei Gründen, und zwar wegen seiner würfelähnlichen Bauform und wegen seiner ursprünglichen Nutzung als Kontroll- und Zollstation. Der Architekt war Zacharias Longuelune. Das Gebäude soll für 20 Millionen Euro saniert werden, um danach das Archiv der Avantgarden des 20. Jahrhunderts des Kunstsammlers Egidio Marzona aufzunehmen. |
