Deutsch: Die abgebildete Statue ist eine von sechs weiblichen Heiligenfiguren in einer Kapelle im Convento de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. Die um das Gewand züngelnden Flammen lassen auf Richardis von Andlau schließen. Diese unterzog sich der Legende nach der Feuerprobe, als sie des Ehebruchs bezichtigt wurde. Obwohl sie die Probe bestand, wurde sie von ihrem Mann verstoßen und zog sich in ein Kloster zurück. English: The statue shown is one of six female saints in a chapel in the Convento de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. The flames flickering around the robe suggest Richardis of Andlau. According to the legend, she underwent the ordeal of fire when she was accused of adultery. Although she passed the test, she was disowned by her husband and retired to a monastery.
