Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Old Town Higley is a small shopping center located at 3143 East Williams Field Road near the intersection with South Higley Road in Gilbert, Arizona. It consists of three stores, and was built in 1910. Its name is a reference to the unincorporated community of Higley (originally Higley Camp) – named after one of its early landowners, Stephen Weaver Higley – which is now part of Gilbert.

The facade of the middle store (Freeride Bike) has been crafted to resemble the Higley General Store and Post Office, an adobe building which stood of the corner of Williams Field and Higley Roads from 1910 to 2012, when the town razed it to widen the intersection. Efforts by the San Tan Historical Society to preserve the store failed.
