Description This here is a rocket carrying 60 Starlink satellites to their orbits in space, via one of the project's fleet leaders, a veteran Falcon 9 dubbed B1049. The launch was fro Space Launch Complex 4 at Vandenberg Space Force Station in California at 11:55 p.m. EDT (8:55 p.m. PDT or 0355 GMT on Sept. 14). The long tail shots are of the first stage (B1049), which returned to Earth, landing on a drone ship in the Pacific. the later shots,with a wide exhaust plume, are the second stage carrying the satellites into orbit. The flight path was SSW, over the Pacific along the coast of Southern and Baja California. The photos were shot with a Sony a7R with an f4 24-105mm zoom, at full length.
